A DETAILS set in year 459-01 AD about 3 weeks before Morgan's visits to see Arthur are discovered. This is her first time to sneak out of Avalon, she is using the forest glade entrance to Avalon.

The Glade stood silent filled with a fading translucent mist, the pre-dawn sky's illumination lending it a shadowy otherworldly feel. A jagged finger of darker night reached for the fading stars while silvery shimmering pinpricks of light seemed to dance outward from the glade's center reflecting the sky above. The flowing lights moved in concentric waves that splashed abruptly against the towering forms of silver oaks. The faintly reflective leaves dancing to a unheard song while their stolid trunks marked the boundaries of the glade. Silence reined, marred only by a distant city's echo, sensed in the silence between the beats of a nervous heart.

The brightening sky revealed a single finger of dark granite poking four stories upward from the glades center. It was surrounded by large silvery mushrooms that marched outward in concentric rings, there tops partially hidden by a waving luxuriant carpeting of grass. The glade, itself fenced by a ring of silver oaks, each rising above the forest beyond.

A man seemed to crystallize from the dark granite's sunlit face pausing half embedded in the shadowless stone. All his senses pushed to their limits as he carefully examined the glade and surrounding forest. The man's clothing were well worn peasant garb, every portion a very dark shade of green that faded into the darkness of the stone.

Finally satisfied by his silent and frozen survey the man flowed from the stone in a single step. His movement revealing a large bronze axe peeking over one shoulder. A second step and he raised his hands in a gesture reminiscent of parting curtains. Shimmer folds of sparkling light and darkness appeared and separated. Walking outward the man repeated the gesture with every third step as he carefully crossed the glade every movement made with extreme deliberation as his hands brushed through the air creating a fading tunnel of shimmering curtained light leading from the dark granite to the dark forest beyond.

Taking several deep breaths Morgan stepped behind a large oak just outside the circle of silver oaks and leaned against it in relief. Reaching for the the axe head at her shoulder the illusion of a large nondescript woodsman vanished like a mist revealing her much smaller form cloaked and hooded in dark green. The woodsman's ax vanished a moment later as it's illusion was replaced abruptly with the reality of a crystalline rod that vanished from sight and hand a moment later.

Glancing around Morgan pushed her six senses to their limit as she carefully examined the glade and shimmering layers of security created by Sensia Merlin and Lady Titan. Frowning as she detected a slight tremble persisting in several of the outer layers she concentrated creating counter harmonics in the security curtains that slowly dampened the instabilities. Wiping away the beads of sweat her brow furrowed in worry Morgan waited frozen an eyebrow twitching with every forest sound as she silently prayed that Merlin and the Lady of the Lake hadn't noticed her parting the veils that cloaked an entrance to Avalon.

After several seconds of worried waiting the girl released a breath she hadn't realized she had been holding and suppressed a giggle of relief and joy, she had done it. Yes! Clamping down on the giddy feel of accomplishment Morgan reminded herself of the persistent instability she had caused and silently vowed to spend less time day dreaming and more time listening to Merlin and the Lady of the lake's training.

Turning from the increasing brightness of the Glade and smiling at the memory of the endless planning she had done with Arthur, Morgan was very thankful both for Merlin's penchant for early morning meetings and Arthur's advice about when to sneak out. She was sure that both would have notice her exit had not both Arthur's grandfather and grandmother not been immersed in a council meeting.

The youngest Planetary Senshi gathered her courage. Trying to ignore the deepening shadows as she moved from the Avalon glade into the darker forest. Silently she reminded herself she was Senshi of Triton one of the most powerful beings on the planet as the shadows deepened around her. Walking slowly Morgan pulled shadowy images from her henshin rod. First of ancient battles and deeds of courage then more recent images made sharp by the double exposure of existing both in her own mind as well as the rod's crystaline shadows. Settling on the image of Arthur laughing she took a deep breath and suddenly increased her speed from a walk to a inhumanly fast run. Finally she leaped and her form simmered mid-bound to that of a large deer that landed on what appeared to be a game trail passing near the Avalon glade. Had anyone from Avalon been watching they would have commented that her illusion was nearly perfect, flawed only by the sound of a young woman's laughter mingling with the beat of hooves striking the path.
