Tempus and his Universes
Tempus's capture and dimensional displacement of the Silver
Millennium Time Gate or singularity has had far reaching consequences
both for the main Superman Unleashed universe and for a large number of
other universes.
Tempus has used the Silver Millennium artifact to isolate a large group
of universe turning them into his own playground. Tempus has used the
time gates to create the equivalent of a sack that has block and hidden
a large number of universes from the rest of the multi verse. The
only mouth, gate or opening in or out of these hidden universes is
located in the Superman Unbound universes.
Travel between these universes inside the sack are quite possible, but
the only way is by first finding the gate into the Superman Unbound
universe and then from there moving into the greater multi verse.
Arthur has used this concept with two story lines and posted several
chapters set in a Stargate universe and a Buffy the Vampire
Slayer Universe.
Both these universes have developed or are developing counters to use against Tempus's brand of trouble.
Other Universes aren't so blessed or are they?
The challenge is to post a snippet,a description, a short fanfic
or long fanfic of one of the universes Tempus has isolated and is
playing around within.
Additional facts and a short sample feel free to ignore.
Tempus has at least one machine and probably more that lets him move in time and across universal boundaries at will.
Tempus seems to be a loner especially when it comes to traveling
between universes and within time, but he might make the exception
especially with more primitive groups that are under his control.
Tempus is almost certain to have a 8 SA kryptonian enhancement it is
simply to easy for him to use his advanced technology to sneak into a
civilian enhancement center that is shut down for maintenance and burn
out it's equipment to give himself a 8 SA kryptonian aura.
I'm not sure, but there is a limit to what Tempus can move from
universe to universe or through time. This is just a guess, but I
figure Tempus is starting to push that limited with the larger Chinese or Russian Mecha.
Don't take the guess above as a certainty it's possible that Tempus has
built a time/D hopper into something larger than H.G. Wells traditional
time sled.

TEMPUS ROMA WHO?

The temporal anomaly calling itself Tempus seemed to savor each grape
as the slave girls carefully fed him with shaky fearful hands. Each
time they approached their mouths moved in a rapid litany of words that
were lost to the Time lord thanks to the thunder of thousands of
sandal shod feet hitting cobble stone in near perfect unison.
The watching Time lord concentrated shifting focus to the self
proclaimed god emperor trying to read the movement of his lips as he
gave orders to several generals.
Finally after several moments of intense focus she grew frustrated with
herself and the late 20 th century spy device she was using.
Muttering about shoddy human equipment she focused instead on the
seemingly endless parade of Roman soldiers.
Slowly scanning the combination shotgun mike and binoculars down the
marching lines she noted several anomalies in their gear. The
most worrying was that each group of 100 soldiers had two small
hand drawn wagons associated with them. One wagon was proudly
displaying a crudely constructed mortar tube and the other was covered
probably carrying mostly powder with a few ready stones for ammunition.
Switching her focus to small groups or even individual soldiers the
Time lord began to carefully study their uniform and visible personal
weapons. An instant after starting a past nightmare filled her mind and
the Time lord shivered as her memories suddenly transported her over
2000 years into the future and she saw not Roman's, but Nazi's
marching.
She regained control after a moment cutting the memories off before it
reached her month's of torture and first death her eyes widened as she
suddenly realized the movement of the distant bodies perfectly matched
a parade march often used by Hitler's SS.
Once the Nazi connection was made the Time lord's eyes widened as the
image in her binoculars seemed to jolt and she suddenly saw SS
uniforms. Like a clap of thunder the alien realized that the
relatively minor and seemingly odd colour changes to a traditional
Roman uniform had made them thinly veiled foreshadowing of
the future SS uniform. Specifically the type of elite SS uniform
that had been forever burned into her mind at the moment of her first
death.
