4.5 billion years ago the explosion of a black hole creates an intense gravity wave that destroys a Nuetron star and others stars within range, eventually Krypton's Star forms in in the remnants of the destroyed Neutron star and that solar system is laced with large amounts of Kryptonite.

Kryptonite is a transuranium element existing in or near an Island of stability well above element 114, it is formed only in Nuetron stars. All Theoreticians agree that coloured Kryptonites like the Red and Green form naturally in Neutron stars, but there is some argument about Black Kryptonite the best theories seem to indicate it cannot form by any natural process and some believe it is an artificial material possibly created by the same interstellar powers that were responsible for the Dead Zone.

The Earth, Krypton and Kobol exist in a Dead Zone created by two warring interstellar super-powers. Roughly a billion years ago a large part of the galactic arm in which earth resides was devastated by this war and life is relatively rare within the dead zone.

The biological super weapons created by the two interstellar super-powers are still active in most Dead Zone solar systems including Earth's, commonly referred to as molds and virus. Asteroid belts and Rogue asteroids the remains of destroyed worlds and misfired weapons are found in most solar systems throughout the Dead Zone.

Another legacy of that interstellar war and the super weapons used are sargasso seas or dark zones spread across the Dead Zone where most forms of FTL become unreliable and all electro-magnetic emission are heavily dampened.

500 million years ago the First Wave a large group of wandering aliens pass through bioforming worlds by introduced dinosaurs and the associated species. Earth, Krypton, and Kobol are visited by these wanderers and like on all the other bioformed worlds the introduced biospheres are immune to the biological weapons and the individual species are also very resistant.

100 million years ago the Second Wave another large group of wandering aliens bioformed many of the same worlds introducing mammals and birds and most of the species we think of as more modern to Earth and Kobol. . Krypton was missed or bypassed by the second wave and maintained it's first wave reptilian biosphere.

In modern time most solar systems within the Dead Zone have no life or contain worlds with very marginal biospheres that have been driven to the edge of collapse by the active bioweapons that taint them. Their are a widely scattered and unknown number of First Wave and Second Wave worlds each gifted with rich biospheres clearly related to Earth's, Kobol's and even Krypton's plant life and animals.

The original thirteenth colony fleet used starships that were huge and achieved FTL speeds through the use of a material named Black kryptonite.

The 12 colonies refugee fleet uses a more advanced form of FTL that is faster and not based on any form of kryptonite.

The 12 colonies and the war with the cylons happens, the 12 colonies lose that war and the Battlestar Galactica with the refugee fleet leaves in search of earth.

In 1898 a deep space survey ship crewed by 12 Cylon's crashes in Tibet and it is discovered and exploited by the Chinese and later their allies the Russians, starting in the early 1980's.

That 12 colonies refugee fleet will not find Earth until the late 2020's or early 2030's, the dates and ages given in both the old version and new version of Battlestar Galactica are overrode by the dates in the TIME_LINE for this universe.

The 13 th colony fleet was the last fleet to leave a dying Kobol. It is not know why the 13th fleet did not follow the other twelve colony fleets to settle near them.

When the 13th colony reaches Earth it splits a large minority deciding to colonize Earth, but the majority are fearful Earth is entering an Ice age and distrustful of the bright yellow star. The majority of the colonist and ships continue onward looking for a better world eventually settling on Krypton.

The minority remaining on Earth pick a small Island continent and name it Atlantis and focus on fully developing it's rich resources. Within a decade the Ice is shown to be on the decline and the minority remaining on Earth are proven right.

Atlantis's rapidly developing civilization quickly expanded it's population and within twenty years after an initial dip in technological level they again quickly match the pre colony levels in all areas save spaceship design. In 20949 BC the Atlantian government was able to devote resources to researching the low level esper abilities known to exist in humans and by 20934 BC there were an estimated five million citizens living in Atlansis with a small minority of live off the Atlantian continent most are violent prisoners isolated in penal colonies.

This is the civilization that preceded the Silver Millennium and also the name of the large island continent that was humanities primary home on Earth until the downfall of the Silver Millennium. It's technology was an out growth of the colony ships that carried it from Kobol, but in 20949 BC the Atlantis government starts researching the latent esper abilities present in all humans. In 20810 BC the Senshi project is started originally intended to allow the terraforming of all nine planets and several moons. The Senshi project in 20600 BC was high jacked by a radical group that use the Henshin rods to set up a dictatorship with it's leader a woman named Serenity taking charge and becoming the first of a long line of Queen Serenitys.

This history of Krypton is an expansion on what was presented in the Lois & Clark series, it ignores other more extensive comic book sources and explains why and how the Krypton solar system came to contain so much kryptonite. It recounts how and why the kryptonian humans developed the aura that protects them from kryptonite. From the dark days after the discovery of the kryptonian protective aura when less than 300,000 people survived the kryptonian poisoning and civil wars to the expansion and plague that created the outcast New Kryptonians and a repressive society focused on remaining unchanged. It covers the worry filled days when Kryptons doom is discovered to the desperate days when this doom is found to be not centuries away but only years away.

The cause of Krypton's destruction is the kryptonite in the planets core. Through the New Kryptonians the Ruling council of Krypton knows of the building problem inside thier world, but miscalculation, complacency and a society essentially unchanged in 7000 years leads to most of the planets six billion people dying.

The New Kryptonians were originally outcast from Krypton and their civilization exist as several widely dispersed relatively small colonies forced to scrape by on worlds with marginal biospheres. Planets not bioformed by the First or Second wave. Through habit and need associated with the extensive use of Kryptonite in their technology they have only chosen solar systems that have sun's similar to Krypton's red sun. Their technology like Krypton's is based on the use of kryptonite which is not a danger to them when under a red sun's light. In 7040 BC the New Kryptonians find a clandestine way of landing on Krypton and by 6883 BC Krypton's government is aware of the New Kryptonian infiltrators. Instead of driving them off the world Krypton's government starts dumping the citizens that are unhappy with Krypton's static society. Over the following millennia this mutual use grew into a symbiotic relationship that allows the New Kryptonian colonies to grow to population of 200 million people spread among nearly 50 star systems and act as a pressure valve keeping Kryptonian society stable and nearly static for 7000 years.

This has only a passing resemblance to what is hinted at in Sailor Moon, a darker kingdom that forced the majority of it's population to live as serfs, but gave a small minority called Royalty access to a technology that can best be describe as "magic". This "magic" allowed this civilization to colonize the other eight planets and four moons within the solar system. The Serenity line of Queens started out as a ruthless dictatorship that enslaved all. Yet within a few generations had started to reform slowly giving more rights to the peasants. Putting itself at odds with some of the very royalty it had created to oppress them. Another paradox of this empire was the growing belief by the Queen, her Senshi and the highest royalty that they were one step above humanity and just one step below being gods.

The Silver Millennium has it roots in a radical feminist movement called Silver in 20600 BC their leader succeeds in high jacking the Senshi project and using it to take over Atlantis. The Senshi project was the culmination of over 200 years of research into human esper ability and multidimensional quantum physics originally intended to allow the quick terraforming of all nine planets and several moons instead it led to the feminist dictatorship of Silver under the control of a woman called Serenity.

Establishing herself as a dictator this first Queen Serenity set about systematically reducing her people to peasants. She outlawed and destroying all technology she or her enforcers, called Senshi, did not have a monopoly on. By the start of the reign of the third Serenity the only technology found was the esper/quantum technology which required black kryptonite to function, a material that the Queen had a monopoly on.

The Silver Millennium esper/quantum technology is usually just referred to as “magic” and all the artifacts have several common characteristic. The technology used synthetic gem quality crystals that contained the esper interface circuitry and the power storage system another critical requirement was a small amount of black kryptonite as the multidimensional resonater. During the course of the Silver Millennium this technology was heavily developed, but all devices by order of the Queen had to use natural energy sources, to prevent any group or person from having a denser power source than the Queen or her Senshi.

A major characterisctic of the artifacts is all have been designed to keep shadowy memories of thier owners that can be accessed by the owners descendants. Usually the more powerful the artifact the clearer the memories are. All who find an artifact and have the ability to use it are affected by these memories.

Silver Millennium period artifacts survive on Earth and the dead planetary colonies scattered about the solar system. The artifacts vary from the Jusenkyo pools that eventually helped to bring about the Silver Millennium's downfall to the stolen Hinshin Rods that allowed the first Serenity to establish the Silver dictatorship.

Originally picked as a training ground for each Queen Serenity, to help her safely gain control of the reality altering Serenity broach. The Island was altered by each succeeding Queen Serenity into a private gardens, private zoo and a retreat. It has an extensive collection of sunlit caverns that contain exotic animals and plant life taken from all parts of the planet. Mystery Island later became the private retreat and genetic research center of Princess Callisto who used the massive network of artifical caverns to hold and isoloate her experiments. There she created the creatures of legend everything from the Dragons of old to the Unicorn was created by her experiment here first. Often after the initial development stages the living product was moved to a isolated Island and refined to meet the Queen's or other Senshi specifications.

In the year 522 AD Lancelots League arrives with the newly minted Senshi Callisto and find an Island abandoned by humanity for nearly 20,000 years. On the run from Avalon and it's three Senshi this band of refugees colonize the Island and eventual return to challenge Avalon by making extensive use of the genetic resources of the Island. It is where they try to redevelop the technology of the colony fleet from the memories hidden in the Callisto Henshin rod. This hidden magical war between Avalon and the Lancelot league has raged across the planet for nearly fifteen hundred years. Mystery Island's genetic legacy is the reality behind the Dragons, Unicorns, Griffins and many other creatures of myth. The research into the memories of the ancient technology that brought hamanity to Earth is the source of their advanced technology and the legends of world conquerers with advanced submarines and even flying machines centuries or decades to soon.

Product of Silver Millennium "magic" and alien bioscience a group of rebels and interdimensional aliens created this device during the Silver Millennium to manufacture living weapons to fight Queen Serenity and her Enforcers. They used the tranformation ability the technology provided to infiltrate spies and assasins as common house pets and then later created powerful alternate forms that while no match for a Senshi individually could and did swarm them under in groups.

The AI system controlling Jusenkyo has been in autonomous mode since 18447 BC and part of it's programming is to replace a pool's template with a improved copy of what's currently present. Jusenkyo is the largest surviving Silver Millennium artifact on Earth and is still in the hands of it's creators or thier descendants, the Bird Men and thier so called god the Phionix. Only two Youma forms remain at Jusenkyo all ninty-nine pools contained more mundane patterns until a young New Kryptonian washed mud from her body in 1996-09.

All 101 pools are part of a single device controled by a AI system, this AI while still nominally under the control of the Phionix and the bird men has been left in autonomous mode for nearly 20,000 years and has come to have it's own self aware agenda, through the interception of radio signals it is fairly aware of current events and humanities civilization.

It should be noted that the water found in each pool has no special propeties it is simply the working medium used by the pool like cavity and the central bamboo like quantum resonator as it alters reality and creates the victims second form.

Originally the test subjects from the first experimental Jusenkyo pool. This pool failed to function correctly and instead of a second form the pooled merged the human form with the form of a bird producing a single form that is still human, but with several birdlike chracteristics which include wings. The humanoid bird form was only two or three times stronger than a normal human and that form's powered flight ability is limited to short burst and gliding in thermals. Following the fall of the Silver Millennium as the renewed Ice Age deepened the Phionix ordered all refugees hiding in the buried research facility in Phionix mountian to take the bird form.

Mostly undefined history probable origins believe to be connected with small minority that refused to take a bird form and left Phionix mountain. It is believed they were the remnants of a group of volunteers that had taken thier secondary forms from a reptilian pool. Possibly called the Dragon pool.

Originally the female survivors of the lost city of Amazonium that were kept as slaves by the barbaric horde that destroyed thier nation and it single central city. They escaped and formed a nomadic group of women warriors that eventually became the polar opposite of the horde that destroyed thier village. The Amazon quickly became known for treating men as bad or worse than the horde or others had treated women.

The Nomadic Amazons traveled the world for millennia obssesively collecting artifacts and knowledge only to be nearly wiped out on several occasions after starting wars in attempts to establish an Amazon empire. These ill advised wars ultimately lost by the Amazons cost them in both artifacts accumulated and the distruction of thier libraries. Roughly 3000 years ago from a twentieth century perspective a final disaterous bid was made to create an Amazon empire that left a tiny remnant fleeing with only what they could carry.

Started by a insane minstral who discovered a set of Silver Millennium artifacts and came to believe he was that man reborn. This insane minstral calling himself Merlin fought the opression of the Roman Empire eventually gathering several small villages into a valley that had once held the remnants of a small Silver Millennium city called Avalon. The Roman's unable to directly penetrate the salvaged dome of shielding protecting the large village instead used slaves to build a large Earthen dam across the mouth of the valley and and submerge the city of Avalon. The Submerged city of Avalon far from being dead as the Roman's believed instead thrived in it's isolation it's society slowly changing and coming to resemble the memories in the Silver Millennium artifacts they had salvaged.

Once the Romans were driven from the land Merlin actively started searching the world for Silver Millennum artifacts and the chance discovery and recovery of four Henshin rods eventually allowed Avalon to gather the largest collection of "magical" artifacts on the planet. The henshin rods allowed Avalon to create and inforce a world wide policy that supressed public knowledge of Silver Millennium "magic" and forced most other groups to join Avalon or go underground.

After Merlin's recovery of four Henshin rods only one group challenged Avalon power. In 495-05 Sir Lancelot turns renegade to Avalon and his followers steal several Silver Millennium artifacts including the unattached Callisto Henshin rod. These two groups fight a clandestine war that

This version of Zatanna has a very different history that is rooted in the war between Avalon and Lancelots League. Zatanna's "magic" comes from one of the most powerful artifacts produced during the Silver Millennium a henshin rod. Zatanna is actually the modern Lady Callisto a Sailor Senshi who is considered renegade by both Avalon and Lancelots League.

Some episodes are ignored or not used and others have been replaced with alternate versions. Also there is a large alternate history for the Krypton home world and the New kryptonians.

We also assume a less "super" superman, in other words a superman who's power is more in line with the demonstrated abilities in the Lois & Clark series.

A low yield atomic bomb (0.5 kilotons) would hurt him badly about like the asteroid he destroyed and a high yield fusion bomb would kill him or any other kryptonian. (See the file HowSuperIsSuperman)

In this version of superman's universe his kryptonian powers do not develop until Clark was in his late teens.

In this universe all of the people who got a “taste”of superman's power during the series "Lois & Clark eventually had their super powers come back. At least three of these were put in a position to start selling copies of their super powers. Superman's powers are Unleashed or Unbound.

By 2000 it is publicly acknowledged that the United States government has the ability to enhance very small number to 75% of Superman's Ability or 75 SA and relatively large numbers of military personnel to 3 SA.

By 2010 there are four publicly known Sources of enhancement or “packages”, they all give the individual some percentage of a Kryptonian's ability, all are limited to less than a 100% of Superman's Ability or SA and most are far less topping out at 8 SA.

The nine Henshin rods exist along with four additional henshin rods, but Queen Beryl and the monsters that brought about the end of the Silver Millennium no longer exist.

The nine Senshi are modern clones of their Silver Millennium counterparts, with copies of the Silver Millennium memories slowly passed to them through the Henshin rods.

The Silver Millennium is different from the one mentioned in Sailor Moon, but like the series all or most "magic" is based on artifacts and remnants of that dead civilization.

The Silver Millennium Quantum technology is usually just referred to as “magic” and most who possess artifacts of that technology realize the truth and usually go to great lengths to keep it mysterious and magical. Remnants of this technology is the "magic" of Avalon and to a lesser extent of their arch rivals Lancelot's League.

Silver Millennium period artifacts survive on earth and the remains of the planetary colonies scattered about the solar system. The artifacts vary from the Jusenkyo pools that eventually helped to bring about the Silver Millennium's downfall to the stolen Hinshin Rods that allowed the first Serenity to establish the Silver dictatorship and the Serenity line of Queens.

All the “magical” artifacts are based, at least in part on esper/aura technology and the salvaged remnants of the black kryptonite warp cores brought to the system by the original colony ships.
