Clark isn't an alien species he, like all humans, is from Planet Cobol and like Humans on Earth, Krypton and New Krypton is a descendant of the 13th colony.

DEAD ZONE and/or SARGASSO SEA

The Dead Zone was created about 1 billion years ago when two star traveling super powers fought a war that comprised most of this galactic arm. Ultimately the interstellar war degenerated into something worse, no weapon was to horrifying to use and no tactic was unthinkable.

Each side developed and used devastating bio-engineered super weapons two of which are exist on most worlds within the Dead Zone and are quite common on Earth today, both sides built planet shattering war machines and the asteroids remain.

Each side converted their civilizations crowning achievement into tools of destruction and turned their home world singularities into weapons that left dark zones of altered reality spread across space.

The war never ended instead it whimpered into the silence of the dead or dying.

Cobol like Earth is a world that was destroyed by the interstellar war and was later "terra-formed" by both the FIRST WAVE and SECOND WAVE.

FIRST WAVE a race in the far past ( 500 millions years ago) spread reptilian species we call the dinosaurs across this part of the Galaxy nothing is known of the alien race, no artifacts have ever been discovered out side the existence of dinosaurs on every planet they visit.

SECOND WAVE a race in the far past( 100 Millions years ago) spread mammals across nearly every FIRST WAVE world some were missed like Krypton. The only artifacts ever discovered is a dinosaur killer Impact crater and several characteristic species nearly identical to species present or extinct on Earth.

Some speculate that Humans are the remnants of the Second wave, but at any rate the best worlds for Humans have been "Terra-formed" by both the FIRST and SECOND WAVES.

Humans can thrive on First Wave worlds not touched by the second "waves", but humans will find worlds not touched by these two waves will have marginal biosphere. The New Kryptonian colonies provide many examples of marginal worlds.

Elvis becomes president and Clark Kent has his Lois Lane, Superman's identity, well that is a secret.

This isn't the TV Lois&Clark Universe or even the one that Lois visited it is a close, but different universe.

Certain episodes of Lois&Clark may not exist, their was a time traveler who killed Sailor Pluto, but it is unclear what universe he was from and he has altered or possible stolen the Silver Millennium Time Gate.

There is a Sailor Moon Universe but it is very different than the series in some ways a darker image, the Serenity line was more human both good and bad.

Beryl died with the Silver Millennium and Queen Serenity succeeded in destroying the inter-dimensional invaders.

All Silver Millennium magic is based on quantum and esper effects associated with Black Kryptonite a 5D substance originally used in the 13th colonies star ship warp cores, it can be shattered, but it's nearly perfect energy sinking ability means it is nearly indestructible.

The 13Th Colony from Cobol comes to Earth, but only a relatively small portion actually colonize this planet the rest move on eventually finding Krypton.

It was on Krypton were the Kryptonian Aura was a desperate discovery copied from the native life forms and altered to protect the humans from the un-anticipated effects of a star system so rich in kryptonite.

The pools of Jusenkyo exist, but their existence is rooted in the Destruction of the Silver Millennium and represent the merger of Silver Millennium technology with an alien technology brought from beyond.

The pools now clearly provide two separate forms what happens to one form doesn't happen to the hidden form, the only link between the two forms is the hot and cold trigger and the memories and/or soul of the person with the two forms.

Super Martial Arts Exist and can almost rival the lowest Kryptonian enhancement.

The Amazon elders are roughly 75 % of what will come to be called a 1 SA kryptonian enhancement, but in a unanticipated synergistic discovery the aura training associated with high level martial arts gives a martial artist several advantages when they have a Ultraman enhancement.

In the late 1990's several small groups start to develop ways of copying superman's protective kryptonian aura, which is the key to his superhuman powers.

Just before the turn of the century there are three functional enhancement programs based in the United States and by 2010 there are four programs available to american citizens.

The various enhancement programs developed in the United States are known as the Ultraman programs and this name is passed to the many attempts to copy America's Ultraman programs..

ULTRAMAN ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMS

Lex Corp or Lex and Gretchen Ultraman Program

Based on work and research of a Lex Corp scientist, Lex Corp has made every effort to obscure the actual enhancement method.

This enhancement requires donors and is limited to a maximum enhancement of 35 SA.

It is very Expensive.

The General public Considers it to be a black market or semi black market program, and most who have purchased this enhancement are reluctant to reveal they have it, despite this it is a fully legal enhancement program.

Presidential Ultraman Program

Based on ideas and techniques supplied by Wally Waldeker and traditionally uses a thunderstorm over or around the empire state building to enhance carefully selected personnel.

A Donor is required and this enhancement program is limited to a maximum of 75 SA.

The public associates this program with the Secret Service especially those around the US president.

It is only available to very limited numbers of Secret Service Agents and literally requires an act of congress for each additional Presidential class Ultraman.

American Military Ultraman Program

Based on techniques discovered or implied by the Lucille's Red Kryptonite Ray Gun, the original method used Red Kryptonite, but safety and resource issues forced the program to switch to a synthetic Kryptonite.

A 10 SA to 15 SA enhancement is associated with the Special forces and is relatively Rare and requires a Donor.

A standardized 5 SA enhancement is available to with all branches of the US military and needs no Donor..

The 5 SA General military ultraman eventually exist in the millions, with a rare few receiving the maximum of 8 SA.

Civilian Ultraman Program

Is the same as the 5 SA Military Ultraman program reduced for economic reasons to a 3 SA enhancement.

This method needs no Donor, but is limited to a maximum of 8 SA. 

After 2010 quickly becomes common among American, Japanese and Canadian civilians at the 3 SA level.

Great Briton settles on 2 SA enhancements and the rest of the world has limited access to civilian enhancements  usually only 1 or 2 SA. 

Jusenkyo Ultrawoman Program.

Is based on a single pool that is part of the largest Silver Millennium artifact left on earth.

This method needs no Donor and is limited to an enhancement of 10 SA.

The enhancement pool along with 100 others exist in a hidden mountain valley and starting in the early twenty first century is jealously guarded by several isolated and ancient tribal groups.

Due to the societies around Jusenkyo having cultures that make extensive use of martial arts including chi or aura manipulation most recipients of the Jusenkyo enhancement eventually improve the basic 10 SA enhancement by significant if widely variable amounts.

SA =Superman's Ability

Represents a simple percentage of superman's powers. By definition superman is 100 SA. Your SA level determines how strong, how fast and what superpowers you have access to. 

SR =Superman's Reserve

Represents a simple percentage comparison to the amount of solar energy superman's kryptonian aura traps, in his case superman's aura will hold enough trapped energy to allow him to “TAP” a higher dimensional power source for 100 days before he needs to again be exposed to the light spectra of a yellow dwarf star. On average near sea level SR recharges at the rate of one SR level per four hours of unclouded sunlight. Going into orbit where the light density is higher allows recharging at the rate of 1 SR per 15 minutes.
